The Rottweilers

Rotties have had a lot of bad press in the past. We actively work to promote the true image of the breed which is one of a healthy, obedient, loyal and loving dog. When we breed, we breed from lines that for generations have produced the quality of dog that does credit to it's breed name and to it's kennel name. We do not nor ever will breed purely to make a profit from our dogs. Nor do we rehome dogs once they are past their showing potential. At present we have 5 dogs over the age of 7 in retirement in our home. When puppies are available potential owners are made aware that they are NOT buying a puppy but are hoping to adopt one of our kids! Health screens are undertaken on both parents before a litter is bred and puppies are screened in the first few weeks of life. Docking is now banned in the UK, so pups now proudly wave their lovely tails.

Gone to wait at Rainbow Bridge:

With a sad heart I have to announce the passing of Audaxus The Saxon Sirene - our beloved Bilss. She passed away in her sleep, with me beside her, in the early hours of the morning of August 26th. She had reached the grand age of 13 years and 7 months old. Bliss was a great friend, never putting a foot wrong in her long life. I miss her sweet old face so much.

The Lancashire Heelers

Ten Lancashire Heelers now reside in our home. Tyke (now retired from showing) is our eldest. He's an 'Essex boy', bred by Mrs. Pauline Gater of the Colnestar Kennels, in Colchester, Essex. From her kennel also comes Alfie, now just over two. Pauline has been my stalwart friend over the years and I owe her a great debt of gratitude for her friendship, support and advice. We also have Lily and Scarlet - Tyke's two daughters, as well as Buster, Bruisie, Katie and Brenda - these are Lily's pups from her first (and only) litter. Then we have Beanie, who because of Primary Lens Luxation is visually challenged - but leads a full although not very active life in the 'front room', often with the comapny of her Great Granddaughter Rhea.

Rhea - Audaxus Ma Chere Rhea - is a puppy from Katies' first litter born on July 9th 2008. She will be staying at home and joining the other show Heelers when she's older. I never can quite manage to let all of our puppies go!

We apply the same code of ethics to the breeding of our Lancashire Heelers as we do to our Rottweilers.

Welcome to the virtual home of the Audaxus family.

We are a small non-commercial. hobby kennel. Our dogs are our passion. For over 20 years we have owned, bred and loved Rottweilers. Nine years ago we added a second breed, the Lancashire Heeler, to our kennel. We now own, show and occasionally breed both Rottweilers and Lancashire Heelers. At present we have 8 Rottweilers and 10 Lancashire Heelers sharing our home with us. All our dogs live in the house as cherished family pets - they are our pets first and show dogs second! You don't come into our home if you don't like dogs, mind getting covered in dog hair and slobber or are offended by a Rottie or Heeler wanting to sit beside you on the sofa to make friends or share your cup of tea.

                                                            The Rotties

Above are 4 of our Rotties, Harriet and her 3 pups, Bella, George and Rory. All three pups have qualified for Crufts 2009 at recent Champ shows, Rory doing it in great style by going Best Puppy in Breed at Birmingham National Championship Show under Mrs. M Wildman (Wildax).

And we are very pleased and very proud to announce that Rory, George And Bella gained their K.C. Bronze 'Good Citizens' Award at Southern Counties Champ Show. All three were in the same class and were ably handled my myself (Judy), 'Wiskey Nell' (aka Grandma Hunting) and our friend Dory. Thank you ladies.

                                                              The Heelers

These are three of our young Heelers. Both Bruisie and Buster have qualified for Crufts 2009. Katie will be on maternity leave for a while. We believe she is in pup and will be expecting in mid July.

You can view more pictures of our dogs, look at their pedigrees and read about their show wins at www.champdogs.co.uk under the Rottweiler listing and under our kennel name of Audaxus. Please do take a look if you are interested in more information about any particular dog. You can also contact me via this site regarding any queries you have about my dogs. We are located in the heart of Norfolk, just 15 miles west of Norwich.

Audaxus Mydnyte Magick - 'George' to his friends.

Harriet's newest babies.....

Hattie gave birth to 6 beautiful, sturdy little pups on May21st - 2 girls and 4 boys. Both the girls were 'spoken for' long before they arrived - as are two of the little boys. Their Dad, Chapmeek Double OSeven, has passed on his wonderful 'typy' broad head, substantial bone and rich, dark but clear markings - these are NOT going to be little Rotties for long.

Introducing the newest members of our family....
